Please note: We are not configured to perform surgeries requiring general anaesthesia on site.
Patients requiring general anaesthesia surgeries may have these performed by our specialists at other private hospitals in the Wellington Region.
All our Specialists are credentialled to work in Public and Private hospitals in our region. The RMS team deals closely with these hospitals to arrange for such surgeries.
Car Parking
Parking is available under our building at street level. For access, turn into the alleyway on the right-hand side of the building.
Free parking <2 hours is available for patients of RMS at the Countdown Supermarket directly opposite, with access from Hanson Street or Adelaide Road.
Our parking garage can accommodate the height of most disability vehicles and there is a dedicated disability park in the garage.
Bicycles
Dedicated bicycle parking is available under our building in the parking garage,
We currently do not have charging facilities for e-bikes or e-vehicles; charging bike docks are available on Riddiford Street in front of the Public Hospital.
Public Transport
The nearest bus stop is Wellington Hospital Stop A (Stop 6055), with routes from the city towards Island Bay/Newtown.
The Wellington Hospital Stop B (Stop 7017) has routes towards the city from Newtown/Island Bay.
