Murray Leikis

I am a renal physician and kidney transplant physician with over 20 years experience. After obtaining my medical degree in Auckland in 1993, I qualified as a physician and then specialist renal physician in 2002. I have interests across the spectrum of renal diseases and treatment and the long term care of those with chronic health conditions. I worked for many years at Wellington hospital providing outreach clinics across the region. I was clinical leader of the Wellington renal service for 8 years and was the chair of the New Zealand Renal group for 5 years and representative in the Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Society of Nephrology council for 4 years.
